After his studies he gained experiences as a furniture designer and planner in Norway and with Nanna Ditzel Design in Copenhagen. In 1990, Cornelius Solbach returned to Switzerland and founded his design agency, which works together with firms in the private and object furniture sector. In 2004, he developed for Dietiker the XARA chair programme for the care sector. Since 1992, Cornelius Solbach has been teaching amongst others at the Commercial-Industrial Vocational School (GIB) in Basel and the General Commercial School (AGS) in Basel.
